What is my path?

“No single decision you ever made has led in a straight line to where you find yourself now. You peeked down some roads and took a few steps before turning back. You followed some roads that came to a dead end and others that got lost at too many intersections. Ultimately, all roads are connected to all other roads.” – Deepak Chopra

The path that each of us chooses in our lives is distinctive and filled with turns, obstacles, and often confusion.  It is my mission to explore your life’s unique path with you and help guide and support you in discovering the direction that is best for you.

About

About 2

Shirin Moheet, Psy.D.

I am passionate about helping my clients discover themselves, and then grow in every way they can.  My goal is to help my clients find a deep understanding of themselves because I believe that it is through self-awareness that we can make any positive change. I believe that each person’s unique and complex life experiences shape them into who they are and that we are more than just the sum of our parts, but instead we are multifaceted, dynamic beings.  This is why I take a holistic approach in my practice. I place emphasis on creating a safe and supportive space where each individual client of mine can explore and address their inner struggles to bring about a more balanced, steady, and content life.

I have experience and training working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, including those that are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Thoughts Disorders, Grief, PTSD, life transitions, interpersonal issues, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and more. I have practiced in various treatment settings that include private practice, hospitals, community mental health agencies, in-home settings, and school based settings.  I have also provided clinical services including psychotherapy, assessment, and other services at the Alhambra Unified School District, Wise and Heathy Aging, LAC-USC Hospital, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Center, and the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health.
